LIA FAQ for India: AI Assistant for Ableton Live
LIA is an AI assistant that works inside Ableton Live on macOS and Windows through a lightweight local LIA Bridge. You type or speak in plain English and LIA creates editable MIDI, builds beats, and adjusts your session while you stay in control. It is not a finished-song generator. This page answers the questions India producers ask most: which DAW LIA works in, whether there is Hindi support, what you can actually make, and where it runs.
Which DAW LIA works in
LIA works inside Ableton Live, on macOS and Windows, through the LIA Bridge. The Bridge is a small local app that connects LIA in your browser or on mobile to the Ableton Live session open on your computer. It sends control commands only, never your audio or project files. Other DAWs such as Logic Pro, FL Studio, Cubase, and Pro Tools are not live integrations yet. If you produce in one of those, you can join the waitlist and we will let you know if and when more DAWs arrive. Today, Ableton Live is the one that works.
Voice control and prompt MIDI
LIA responds to spoken commands, written prompts, and reference direction, then creates editable MIDI inside Ableton Live. The output is a starting point you refine in the piano roll, not a converted recording or a finished track.
Built for producers who already work in Ableton
Across India, producers are working in Ableton Live on electronic, hip-hop, indie, and film and Bollywood-adjacent material. LIA fits into that workflow instead of replacing it. You can sketch a melody, lay down a chord progression, or rough out a rhythmic idea, then edit every note yourself. LIA does not generate authentic regional percussion or specific sample libraries, and it does not output finished tracks. It gives you editable MIDI and session changes inside Ableton Live that you direct and refine, so the sound that ships stays yours.
Which DAW does LIA support?
Ableton Live, on macOS and Windows, through the LIA Bridge. That is the live integration today. Other DAWs like FL Studio, Logic Pro, Cubase, and Pro Tools are not connected yet, but you can join the waitlist to hear about new DAWs as they come.
Is there Hindi support or a Hindi site?
The LIA interface is available in several languages, and it works in English today, which is what most India producers search and build in. A dedicated Hindi site is not launched yet, and we will not promise a date. If you want a Hindi version, join the waitlist and we will keep you posted on updates.
Does LIA make finished Bollywood or Indian songs?
No. LIA is an assistant, not a finished-song generator. It creates editable MIDI and session changes inside Ableton Live that you refine yourself. You can give it style and reference direction for the mood you want, but you shape the arrangement, sounds, and final result. It will not hand you a complete, ready-to-release track.
What can I ask LIA to create?
Ask for melodies, chord progressions, basslines, drum patterns, beat ideas, or reference-guided variations. LIA returns editable MIDI inside Ableton Live and you keep shaping the result.
Which platforms can I use LIA on?
You can use LIA in a web browser or on your phone, so you can start an idea from almost any device. The LIA Bridge, which connects to your Ableton Live session, runs on macOS and Windows.
